This ribbon may be awarded to any commissioned officer, warrant officer, or enlisted member of the militia who service honorably and faithfully on homeland defense service missions performed within the 54 states and territories. The following requitements apply: Awarded to all members of the Indiana Militia who are activated on or after September 11, 2001 for military operational duty expressly performed in defense of state or nation from international or domestic threats, State active duty under Title 32 of the U.S. Code, or federal duty under Title 10, U.S. Code. Duty performed during annual training, inactive duty training, while at schools or other training exercises or as part of a rear detachment under Title 10 does not qualify.
