This ribbon may be awarded to any commissioned officer, warrant officer or enlisted member who served honorably and faithfully on State Active duty during a state of emergency. The following eligibility requirements also apply: All currently assigned members of the militia who have served honorably on State Active duty (paid or unpaid) during a state emergency. A state emergecy is defined as any emergency, for any period, declared by the Governor or Adjutant General of the State of Indiana. Only one award per emergency is authorized. Service will be verified by state active duty orders, official rosters or a certification letter from a unit commander who has personal knowledge of the individual’s duty performance.
