The Funeral Honors Ribbon is awarded to all members of the lndiana Army National Guard, the lndiana Air NationalGuard, retirees of the Guard, the lndiana Guard Reserve, and to those members of the Veterans’ Service Organizations of lndiana that have been trained and certified by the United States Departmentof Defense as DOD FuneralHonors participants. The lndiana Honors Ribbon shall be awarded to denote honorable and distinguished service in the performance of military funerals and similar activities within the State of lndiana.
The Military Funeral Honors Program is a valuable asset to the United States Army, Army National Guard and the INARNG in providing military funeral honors to all deceased veterans, guardsmen /women, and active duty members in a timely and professional manner.
The ribbon is awarded to members of the Military Funeral Honors Program who have participated in fifty (50) funerals within a two year period and must be recommended by the Area coordinator, Branch Coordinator or State Coordinator. Number of services will be verified by the State Coordinator.
